Housing Works Street Fair
Summer in NYC means street fairs galore. The block of Crosby Street between Prince and Houston Streets in Soho will be closed to cars as Housing Works sells thousands of donated books, records and CDs for $1 apiece, plus clothing, shoes, accessories and housewares from the many Housing Works thrift shops. Also enjoy music, food and beer. One block can make a big difference: All profits go to Housing Works (housingworks.org), which provides lifesaving services for homeless and low-income New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS.
